Their food is getting worse as time goes by with shortages of everything or their food supplier getting arrested can really leave them without food and to make do with waht they have, Anne was still grateful to be alive and she would suck it up because having any food is better than no food. Anne seemed to be the happiest when she was with Peter, and she shared her first kiss with Peter that gave her the greatest joy. Anne even discusses her meeting with Peter to her father who seems to be fine with theit meetings but later tells Anne not to go up and see Peter everyday because she can hold the power in her hand if she refrains from Peter, Anne expressed to her father that it was not like that between her and Peter and that she trusted him. Anne is always writing to her diary that she wants to be a writer she wants to be different and not a regualr housewife, but she is skeptical if she will even get to be a writer. After the invasion began known as d-day, it gives everyone hope and their lives can be normal again, in Annes last entry she states she has a dual personality and that she could accomplish what she wanted in life if people weren't there to hold her back such as the Germans, her parents, Anne has shielded herself from others ans that was she was perceived as a troubled child but she was just protecting herself. the final entry

Anne is talking about in her final entry how she views herself as two different people in one body. she talks about how she has her sweet, flirty, funny side that seeks adventure and hope for the future. then she talks about how her family views her as a witty, smart talking, hardly simpathetic child. Anne discusses how she wishes there were time to be allowed to let loose and joke and put the seriousness of their situation aside. she understands that there is a need to be serious since they are hiding out but she wants her family to also know that she is just is child and wants to be able to behave as one sometimes as well. after her final entry three days later the familys hide out was discovered and Ann later died while in the concentration camps. Anne was one of many children who were placed in the camps and died. Anne is so infamously associated with the Holocaust since she gave a first hand input to what life was like during it. she expressed what a refugee family would encounter and how there were many obstacles in the process for freedom.

for many decades children have been placed in camps during wars around the world: WWII, Nygerian camps, slavery, IRaq. children have been placed in camps to be used as workers, some were raped, murdered, trained to be murderes, all these children were made to believe that their only chance for survival was to compensate with what was beening directed.

Summary #2

After gaining another person in the house Albert Dussel who shares a room with Anne becomes annoying to Anne as everyone else in the house. As the new year approaches 1943, Jews are still being taken from their homes, planes constantly flying over Holland, bombs being dropped and all Anne can think about is she is grateful to be alive and hiding. Anne at this point always feels like she is being picked on by everyone else because she is the youngest and she tries not to show her emotions even though it does get to her. Fear keeps growing in the Secret Annexe someone tried to break into the warehouse keeping everyone on edge and six weeks later someone breaks into the warehouse stealing money, check books, and most important sugar coupons, everyone hiding thought it was the Germans about to discover their secret. By July daily air raids are normal but seem to be getting closer and closer, it is a daily routine that they hear shooting and bombs dropping. After the first year has passed Anne writes to her diary over everyones daily timetable in great detail and how it is overwhelming for everyone to get along, Annes is maturing as the days keep going on and at on point she writes to her diary that she fears they are going to be taken by Germans soon and ahe has a strong feeling about it, at Annes age she already has gut feelings and most gut feeling are right a girl so young had to grow up in fear on a daily basis. Anne has changed alot she has started her monthly and she seems more grown up when writing to her diary instead of just seeing her side to the story she stops to look at both sides and sees that many arguements that they have in the house are always one sided, Anne also begins to take an interest in Peter as he does to her and she tries to fight it but she cant help but like him and grow more curious about him.
