the final entry

Anne is talking about in her final entry how she views herself as two different people in one body. she talks about how she has her sweet, flirty, funny side that seeks adventure and hope for the future. then she talks about how her family views her as a witty, smart talking, hardly simpathetic child. Anne discusses how she wishes there were time to be allowed to let loose and joke and put the seriousness of their situation aside. she understands that there is a need to be serious since they are hiding out but she wants her family to also know that she is just is child and wants to be able to behave as one sometimes as well. after her final entry three days later the familys hide out was discovered and Ann later died while in the concentration camps. Anne was one of many children who were placed in the camps and died. Anne is so infamously associated with the Holocaust since she gave a first hand input to what life was like during it. she expressed what a refugee family would encounter and how there were many obstacles in the process for freedom.

for many decades children have been placed in camps during wars around the world: WWII, Nygerian camps, slavery, IRaq. children have been placed in camps to be used as workers, some were raped, murdered, trained to be murderes, all these children were made to believe that their only chance for survival was to compensate with what was beening directed.
